Negative battery cable

Post by fireguyfire »

It’s been a while since I tore down my 70 1/2 ton with a slant 6 for a restoration.
I know the negative battery cable bolts to the engine block, but I can’t remember where.
Can someone describe or post up a photo of where the negative battery cable bolts to the engine on a slant 6?

Don't know if you are going for originality or not but the cable doesn't need to be mounted to the engine block. Run the cable to one of the starter mounting bolts.

I agree with Sledgehammer... on my "parts truck" which I don't have anymore, the cable went in that area... sorry my picture doesn't show it well, but that is the same area as his. AND yes, I know the ground cable is RED... so don't let the color fool you  .
