Ignnition timing

Post by varbucci »

Hi All,

I have a 1970 318 with a mild cam and 4bbl connected to a manual tranny. I cant seem to get a clear indication of what the timing should be. Anyone know?

Do you have a vacuum gauge?
I usually just put my gauge on the intake port
and adjust for max vacuum at idle. :idea :2cents

I would try 7 to 10 BTDC.
