I often have to wiggle or slightly back off on key to get engine to fire. Seems to be getting worse. Also a couple of dead stalls where the truck will restart with the switch wiggle.
I'm thinking about a race car set up with power switch and a push button start.

You can still get the stock Cole Hersee switch.

Re: ignition switch
Hey Jim100.
Last month I had the Brake light stay on after starting but nothing was wrong with the brakes. Turns out the Ignition Starter Switch has a small plastic piece the Lock Cylinder fits into. Mine was broke allowing the key to move back to the normal Run position but the switch still had a contact in the Start position. So the light stayed on like during startup. Easy fix just a new starter switch.
Good luck,
Jimharold

Re: ignition switch
I removed the switch and pressed the little pin and removed the smaller part the key pokes into. Looking down into the switch there is a little light coil spring. It was in two pieces. I replaced the switch and the coil spring looks feeble in this one too. I guess Ill see how it goes.
