Tail Lights

Post by akesel13 »

Hello Sweptline.org,

Thanks for the add! First time poster here.

I'm having issues with my tail lights on my 67 D100. I replaced all of the fuses with the correct ones. Blinkers and brake lights are working. When I pull on the lights it blows the tail light fuse. It calls for a 15A fuse. I upped it to 20A and it blew that one too. I'm guessing I have a short somewhere, but thought I would see if anyone had any advice.

Thanks!

Ya, u have a short somewhere! Need to find it. Look for a bare wire touching metal. Could also be a melted bulb socket base touching the housing. The front marker/running lights are part of that circuit so look thru all that wiring too. U will notice they are also not working. MANY places to look, so have fun.
