71 d100 turn signals intermittently stop blinking

Post by jaybird88 »

My 71 D100 turn signals stop blinking after driving a while. Once I pulled the fuse and put it back in and the turn signals started to blink again. Then after driving the turn signals just stay lit with no blinking. I thought it was after I used the horn but not sure. Any ideas what would cause the turn signals to stay on with no blinking? Front and left turn signal bulbs stay lit as well when corresponding turn signal is turned on.

Sounds like a bad flasher.

So what's wrong with setting beneath a single pull string incandescent light bulb writing angry letters?

There are two of them. Replace them both?

I agree flasher or try putting in new bulbs or remove and clean the sockets and bulbs real good. I had one 60s car that you would hit the brakes and the dash lights would come on among other issues. it was just corroded sockets.
the TS switch might have an issue as well but unlikely
