Help me get my turn signal working

Post by bentaxle »

I have been doing some wiring clean up and reinstalling the harness from firewall to the tail lights and got everything working correctly except for the left turn signal (right one works fine). Both the front and rear lights light up when turn signal is on but won’t blink until I put a test light to the yellow wire on firewall which should be the correct left signal wire for my early 65.
Lights on, not blinking, touch test light to wire, it lights up and lights go to blinking ??? Again, right side works fine.

Any ideas?

Suspected that but why do lights light up, just not blink. The lights have to be grounded or they would not light up. Where else to look ?

Checked grounds, they were okay, scratched my head a while and decided to change bulbs even though they lit up fine, for some reason they would not blink, new bulbs fixed it.
