Re: 1968 D100 rear taillights
I recently needed bulbs for mine, and walmart was out of 1157, but they had a 2057.
per this article - I cannot vouch for its accuracy:
http://automotivemileposts.com/tailligh ... rison.html
the 1157 is the standard bulb, which outputs 3 candlepower on low and 32 on high.
but these bulbs also will fit and work:
a 2057 outputs 2 on low and 32 on high, for more contrast; and
a 2357 outputs 3 on low and 40 on high, for a high-intensity brake/turn light (but much shorter life).
I ended up ordering a box of 1157s.
