Hot no start issue?

Post by slick »

When my truck is cold it starts up no problem. Once I drive it around and it warms up I have issues starting it. If I shut it off and restart it, it fires up no problem. If I let it sit for a while when hot it will not restart. Here's the weird part, if I jump the starter relay it will start? Any suggestions? 383 with mopar electronic ignition. Factory starter relay.

Chrome one. I think it might be in the ignition switch. Seems like if I don't fully turn the key it will fire. I ordered a new ignition switch and a starter relay. Cheap enough and the old relay is ugly anyway. We will see if one or the other fixes the issue.
