Any opinions or tips on PerTronix electronic ignition conversion kit.
Go with kit or replace the complete distributor?

Re: Pertronix kit
I'm a fan..
It's inexpensive and a very quick and simple install with stock appearance.
It is also very simple to go back to 100% stock points type setup in minutes, if need ever arises.
I've had it on my truck for about 10000 problem-free miles,
And more on a few other cars..
But honestly most people on this board seem to favor the oem mopar type electronic ignition and distributor.
You can read some opinions in the thread just below called 'going back to points'

Re: Pertronix kit
As far as tips,:
The only head-scratcher of the install was deciding where to tap in to get 12v ignition-switched power..
I just went straight to the ballast resistor and crimped the original with new wire together into one brass blade connector.
I was able to reuse the original plastic insulator cover for a mostly stock appearance.
You can sort of see it in this engine bay photo, at the pass. side of the ballast resistor mounted on the firewall.
