no lights on rear

list of new electrical parts new voltage regulator, new head light switch, new ignition switch, new dimmer switch, new bulbs, new flashers, new fuses,.... I put all those new parts on and still have no rear light(turn signals, brake lights,park lights, no emergency flashers) have front turns and flashers, what could be the cause. this wiring harness is the best ive seen no hack jobs on it. still 100% factory... so whats up???

Always start by making sure you have good grounds. Pretty common problem on these trucks. I've seen a few that had a make shift in line fuse running to the rear lights. Maybe yours has one hiding somewhere? Do you have power to the wires running to the rear? Are the plugs plugged in at the drivers rear side where they branch out to the different sides? Has someone hacked in a trailer plug that is shorting out? Also, what year is the truck? That makes a difference because some of the older trucks didn't have fuse boxes..Just throwing out ideas.

Double check your fuse block. I had a fuse with a broken
clip on one end that I couldn't visually detect. Only when
I pulled the fuses out to get al closer look, the [corroded]
clip fell out into my hand.
I would also suggest checking your grounds like Slick
mentioned. Those tail light housings must ground to the
box. Its not a bad idea to run a ground strap from the
box to the frame in the rear too.
Check your rear harness by unplugging the tail lights and
license plate lamp and putting a test light into the connections too.

These lights run thru turn signal switch, you have bad switch or cancellation cam. I was replacing cam and inflicted same problem on my self. I had to bend contacts on cam so they maid better contact. Also lights run thru brake switch. Goes from fuse block to brake switch to turn signal switch to lights.

Originally, you should have two factory ground straps connected from the front bed wall down to the frame, they are a flat braided wire. As mentioned I would also check your turn signal switch in your column, your brake and flashers go through it, but if you don't have tail lights sounds more like a ground issue. Your bed has wooded blocks between the frame and bed mounts, so it needs to be grounded with a wire. If the original braided wire is gone you can substitute it with a 10 AWG wire.
