I'm replacing my worn out headlight switch but can't figure out how the black knob pulls out of the switch in order to remove the old switch.
Any tips?

You reach up behind the dash feeling your way blindly along till you feel what you think is the headlight switch. Fumbling with fingers that can not be controlled you feel for a spring loaded button about the size of a small nub and depress said nub. But while you are nub pressing you must pull the headlight switch knob out till it becomes dislodged from the dash. Repeat procedure to reinstall when new switch is in dash. But forget depressing the nub then. Not needed.
If you already have a new switch in your hand you will see the nub I speak of.

So I press the gas pedal and turn the radio on while adjusting the rear view mirror, then press the nubby thing with my seat belt on, right?
Juuuust kidding. Your advice is taken seriously and much appreciated.
Thank you!

Given out the headlight replacement a few times on forums etc. This time decided to do it differently.
Pushing the go pedal does help though.

Are your hands still caught up under the dash?
Just curious to know if you got it replaced.

Nothing worse than getting personal with the under dash hand and finger slasher's.
