What is this extra wire plug for? Mystery!
I'm redoing the wiring harness and I found this wire. I don't see it in the wiring diagram. Both ends are cut and wrapped back. The entire connector was wrapped to the harness but not connected to anything. It was like someone put in in the harness for a just in case or so it wouldn't get lost. This is weird and I'm not sure what it is for? Everything was working, gauges, under hood and lights.

Most likely went to the horn relay. See attached link "relay" in electrical section viewtopic.php?f=21&t=35907

Attached is a sketch of the horn wiring that might help in rewiring your truck.

Thanks for the information. I'll save that diagram for later use. I have to look at the harness again. This truck doesn't have any fuses and I don't think it had a relay. I have a horn coming from a member here. It will probably make more since when I can hook the horn up.

If the connector was near your firewall harness bulkhead nearmy5thmopar wrote:I'm redoing the wiring harness and I found this wire. I don't see it in the wiring diagram. the brake master cylinder, it is likely your horn wiring, as the
horns in early Sweptlines were mounted underneath the hood
near the left hinge.
