plucing head lights

Post by luvdride »

Howdy, The days are longer and I drive my d200 daily and noticed that the light are going from bright to weak with the voltage gauge wh en dem or bright. Ive tightin grounds and fixed frays. The regculater is fairly new and was up graded to a 78 model before i got the truck. Everything is working the gauge will go strait reading when in 4th at good cruise speed but once at idle back to bouncing and pulcing lights. What do you guys think? I know it has to mess with other drivers. Thanks for any feed back. Keith

Its been a while guys sorry but never the less your always here. Truck is running good riding even better i hope ive sold the old 2500 rims on the truck. Ive lower the front shock arms in hope of raising the front a bit and improving that lovely d200 quality ride witch mocked a rail car on a dirt road. However the voltage proplem is fixed thanks to so good ole mymopar info. The installation of some fathers day fog lights and some wire chasing got the ole 67 lighting the way very nice. Thanks
P.S check out youtupe" thru the south ga jungle in the d200" friends this truck has earned its place in our family.

My headlights pulsed a lot and it drove me nuts.
I replaced the entire wire harness (my smart cousin actually) with an aftermarket and it never pulsed again. Same alternator.
My wireing was a mess and maybe it was just a grounding issue I dont know.
