Hello
I have a flasher switch with a red light that hangs under the dash on the left side. It has 3 male connectors on the back of it. The power wire to it has been cut at the connector and it only has one of the other 2 wires connected. Any body have any ideas how to get the 4 way flashers back up and working?
Thanks!

I will assume that you are sure it does not look like this one? with the yelow and green wires. THis is 67/68 style and not sure how far back it goes. I need to look at my 62/63 harness

A good possibility with only 3-wire switch is , center stab is power in from flasher, right stab goes to right front and right rear turn signal and dash indicator lamp, left stab goes to left front and left rear and left dash indicator lamp. Good ground contact with dash for pull knob lamp to work.

Now the question is, which wires do I hook into? Looking at the wiring diagram, it looks like I will need to hook up to either the light green or dark green wire.pwadventurer wrote:A good possibility with only 3-wire switch is , center stab is power in from flasher, right stab goes to right front and right rear turn signal and dash indicator lamp, left stab goes to left front and left rear and left dash indicator lamp. Re: 4-way flashers on 64 D300
With the 3-wire flasher I would tie into the (D-15 (18GN), for the right rear lamp, and tie into the (D-14 (18 YE) for the left rear. This will most likely only give you rear flashers only. You will need a 5-wire flasher switch if you want front flasher also. The front and rear turn signal lamp wires are separated in the switch because of the brake lamp. If you jumper the front and rear turn signal lamps together, the front lamps would come on when you hit the brakes.

Hey, thanks a lot. That it's just the info I need. I realty only need rear flashers, especially when I'm on any type of grade with a load.
