Wipers are sooooooooo slow!
GAAACK! Turned the wipers on in one of the '68s the other day after the car wash. These are painfully slow! Doesn't matter where the switch is set. They...are...slow! I've tossed around pulling the wiper motor to see if there is a bind somewhere in the process (linkage, gummed-up motor), but am looking to you guys for ideas before I pull this out of the truck.

Did it operate with more speed before the car wash?

check voltage to the resistor at the motor to make sure you have 12v going into ballast. not test light but actual voltage.
I have found that the connections at the motor sometimes get corroded. Also make sure the brass ground strap dumiflocher is not broken.

The closest I could find was dumaflache.oklamopar wrote: dumiflocher
dumaflache
1.) a word used when you don't know what a thing is.
2.) a random object.
3.) a funny word to call somebody who is being weird.

Cool, I'll look at that this week. I don't have to drive it in the rain right now!

To answer Jim's question - they've been slow all along.

There's a thought...I don't have a spare, but maybe a good cleaning of the switch with some electric contact cleaner might be a solution, thanks.
