why dose dodge do this?
when i ck for volts at the blue wire that goes from water temp to oil press to fuel gauge I get a pulsating signal at all three. OK IS THERE A REASON WHY IT DOSE THIS? OR IS IT JUST A DODGE THING! O-YES MY GAUGES DO WORK. (SOMETIMES.LOL) I want to put in after market gauges in with a new dash that I am making , but I like to get all the bugs out first. ANY HELP OUT THERE?

Not following what you're asking here....bigmeangreend200 wrote:IS THAT WHY I GET 12 V AND A ON AND OFF SIGNAL? AND WHERE CAN I FIND 1 TO BUY? THANK YOU
As far as "One to buy"..... maybe someone else on the
board can offer a source. I made my own with components
purchased through Radio Shack & Parts Express.....

Re: why dose dodge do this?
The voltage limiter is a breaker style device that opens and closes as it heats up to regulate the voltage. You will get a on/off signal of about 12 volts, this is normal. The net result is about 5v. Since your gauges do work I do not see a problem.
Most aftermarket gauges are designed to work with the factory senders and generally require 12v to the gauge (read the installation instructions).

What led me to "suspect" the voltage limiter is your statementbigmeangreend200 wrote:Thank You Alan that makes more senses to me. thx 4 the help
regarding the gauges..... that they do work "(sometimes)".
Good luck with your project.
