How much light for actually backing up do they produce, compared to stock?
Illegal to use for turn signals in ANY state, unless u change to amber or red.
White light to rear is a huge no-no on a forward moving vehicle.

I never had a set of stock lights that worked to compare to, but I can see pretty well backing up at night.... they are not super bright, but get the job done..

Very nice lights, and far better-looking than the stock units. Especially with taillight lenses that have the pot chrome trim! Might have to go this route on the '68s, since I have two good lenses and one good socket between the two trucks.

Or red ones for brake lights
If it were easy, everyone would do it.

I just looked these up on eBay and they are now LEDs. About $21 as of November 2023.

I am glad to see someone else is willing to give it a try. Please post some pictures when you get them done!

I have yet to hook them up, I haven't had time to even consider it. My wife and I went out of town to celebrate our 10 year anniversary, so they are not yet wired.... soon though.. soon..

i like the chrome ring don't like seeing the bulb
would be nice if it had a frosted lenz
might able to lightly glass bead them (for the $$ can afford to experiment )

Thanks to Bidenomic Inflation they are now 14.74 on Amazon.

I guess that still isn't horrible... but.. sounds alot like $30 for a pair.
