voltage reg/ headlight

i bought a new regulator for my 68 d100 and the connections arent the same how do you hook it up? also i have a problem with headlights going out very quick could this be the cause? any help would be great

The easiest thing to do would be to go to the junkyard and get a new harness to hook up to the voltage regulator. If you can't get one with the old connections style. Are you using an electronic ignition and Mopar box, now?

honestly i dont know i know the voltage reg is original and the ignition is new, who ever had this before the guy i got it from just made things up as he went , nothing was done anywhere close to how it should have been , all the work i have done so far has been un doing his work

How about a picture of the back of the altenator, and the voltage reg and wireing.Napa sells a nice electronic regulator for stock altenators ... #vr1001
