hd,If you mean the switched side of the breaker as the ignition switch side, that wire besides going to the wiper motor switch, also goes to the fuel guage via a splice. The splice is a 4-way splice,1 from the fuse block(light blue)2from the ignition switch (light blue) 3 from the wiper switch(light blue) 4 from the fuel guage(red). The ignition switch light blue wire controls the power to all of the accessorys. Hope this helps, Rick

HD,It might be that ckt brkr may be a resistor for the speed control or the reversing of the motor when you shut the wipers off, to park them in place.I don't see why it would need a breaker at the switch so close to the fuse block. There isn't much in the shop manual for trouble shooting the motor, only the switch. In most of the cases, the problems relate to the switch as the cause.

The braker is there because it is not fused, the power wire comes strait from the ing switch.

Verible speed switch continuity chart
Park................... Low................... High
B to B/U..............B to B/U ..............B to B/U
B to P .................B/U to A .............. B/U to A
A to F2.................A to F1 .................A though rheostat to F1
F1 to ground.........F2 to ground..........F2 to ground
............................P open.................P open

Variable Speed Wiper motor bench testing
1) connect the yellow wire to the motor ground ground strap
2) Connect the battery postive terminal to the motor ground strap
3) Connect the red and black wires to the battery negative terminal.
The motor should rund in the wipe direction
4) To park the motor, connect the blue and yellow wire to the battery
negative terminal
5) Connect battery positive terminal to the motor ground strap.
6) connect the red wire to the motor ground strap. Monentarily touch the
black wire to the yellow and blue wire, motor should park.
