fuel gage

Post by HEtkind »

well, I got tired of not having a gas gage in 68 D100, and it is a bad sendor...turns out someone stole the sendor out of it and put a broken one in...anyhow, ordered a Sunpro gage and sendor and installed the sendor yesterday.

First I ran the tank dry, pulled the old sendor, drilled a 5/16 hole in the sun sendor for the fuel pickup, fabbed a new tube out of 5/16 tubing, ran a compressed air hose into the tank and purged all the gas vapors, then drilled 5 small holes in gage flange and assembled with form a gasket...

Will wire the new gage, and a tach into a gage pod this weekend, if the weather holds out...

Should have a working gas gage come this weekend.
