New tail light housings (non-stock)

Post by T748 »

Wile loafing around the parts store today, I found an almost "drop-in" replacement for the old sweptline tail lights.I say almost because the hole in the body needs to be widened a little bit. Maybe a 16th to an 8th inch. Also in the picture you can see I added a ground wire to the housing since my rusty 'ol 63 doesnt like body grounds. The light assymbly is sold at kragen under the "blazer" brand part #B430BLK. It ran $7.99 a peice in the store. Might be cheaper online. The mounting holes are just a little off the original mounts. Here is a side by side shot of the lights. I'll post an intalled shot later.-Tom.
