Hey ya'll, it might be a dumb question...but I was looking on the back of a Chrysler 6k tach from a 69-61 HD set up, and it has two posts....one is labled ign. sw (ignition switch) and the other trigger...what the heck is the trigger?? thanks for the help, mattc

If it is the stock tack, it was made by Sun and
needs a box to transfer the signal to the tack.

To not use the box you will have to send the tack in
and have it converted to the late type
( up dated to like the tacks
you can buy off the shelf); or install a newer tack.

If is possable that it is a later type and only needs
the wire from the neg side of the coil (trigger) and switched
power, you could hook it up and see if it works
that way.... ground the case of the tack if you
do.....

the later style, found(as I understand it) on 383 trucks... I have a set like you attatched for my CSS, and I know it needs the unit..I got one of em too. Heck I got more tachs and gauges than one man should!!! Well not as many as Ben!!! :Thumbsup
So the "Trigger" is the from the neg side of the coil...easy enough... thanks Jeff, Mattc
