Dash Lights
They dash lights on my 69 d200 work intermitantly. Sometimes they will come on right away other times only when I fiddle with the light switch and sometimes not at all. Before I start pulling stuff apart does anyone have any suggestions?

Reostat is on the front part of the headlight
switch (coil spring with ceramic base).
Sometimes just turning the switch knob
will be enough to clean the surface
for a good contact....
Clean that up, make sure you got good ground
to the gauge set....

Just my
I have found that the reostat in some early fords are interchangable with the ones in our trucks.
I.E. When searching the bone yards check the fords also.
The coil in mine was shot and I removed the reostat from the light switch of a ford falcon. It was a perfect fit.
Even the knobs were interchangable but the ford switch did not have the double "D" so only the reostat was usable to me.
(I try to NOT make too many changes to my truck where I don't have to.)
