Origanal Hubcaps?

Post by Roger »

My '65 has the original steel wheels and I'm trying to find out if the hubcaps are original. They are a conestyle "dogdish" that has a black 3 sided emblem. That are the smaller diameter that snaps onto the center "ring" of the wheel, kinda like baby moons. I thought I used to see this type on a van. If anyone knows a source where I can see the originals. please responds.
Thanks

Like these below, only with the emblem?

If so then yes they were van hubcaps. Anyway that is what I was told too.

They cover the same wheel area, but are cone shaped, with a large black 3 sided emblem in the center and on the outer edge a broken black line. I'll try to post a pic tommorrow. I'm not very good with a camera and computer though.

the ones in the pic above would be stock for the 66. the ones you desrcibe sound like the newer truck/van/cop caps. there is another style, used on the cars that would fit your discription as well. but the ones in the pic above would be right for the truck up to 66. :Thumbsup
