i just puled a steering box out of a 69 model d100 the box had TRW stamped on it????????????????:thinking
what is that about??? :thinking :thinking

Because they were the supplier of the steering box new. Contrary to what many think, Chrysler (and GM, F-ord and the others) did NOT build all of their parts in-house. Like today, they had/have vendors that supply them with the parts, built to the factory specs for that application.

Yeah, like Dana axle assemblies, New Process manual trannies and transfer cases, etc. Early homogenizing is what I jokingly refer to it as. :lol:
