tired leaf springs

Post by Sandstone »

i need some leaf springs for my 63 D100 2wd. the only leaf springs i found are for a 4wd. any one know where i can get new leaf spring, front and rear, for my truck?

we had a 61 and 64 D100 /6, 3 on the tree, 2wd's on the farm, both of them had overload leaf springs on the rear. is that a factory option? they where a life saver with the amount of weight that we used to haul (seed, fertilizer, livestock, ect...).

I find it really wierd when we all have the same thoughts... :thinking

Here is the quote I got from Eaton Springs last week:

"Keith,

Dodge used 2 different strength springs for the 64. One had a load of 1,025 lbs (339.90 a apir) and the other had a load of 1,250lbs (349.00 per pair). Plus there is a left and right spring.

All are available from us along with the eye bolts and u-bolts which are 64.95.

Prices do not include shipping.

In order to provide a shipping price we need the Zip Code to where your order will be sent to.

We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express, Money Orders, Wire Transfers, Checks and Cash. Sorry no COD.

Due to the large number of e-mails and phone calls I handle everyday I am not talented enough to remember everything I wrote or spoke about. So, when responding back help me by include this response. If you do not you may not get an answer.

Thank You

I have new Eaton springs on the front of my '68. Some of the best money spent on it so far. the back ones will be following in a few months.

I considered the Eaton springs but didn't want to spend that much right now so I went the Add-A-Leaf route. Rough Country makes them, bought them from JC Whitney. They came with new longer bolts to hold the spring pack together. They really did the trick, I was concerned that they wouldn't do much but they lifted the truck 3 to 4 inches. It was sagging at least 2 inches below stock. The rear units are tapered making it a progressive spring. Definitely rides stiffer but I have really loaded it without them bottoming out. Cost $120
