Coil over shocks

Post by steven »

I remember one time that someone said if you want to increase capacity, to add coil over shocks on the rear. I believe Trey said it. What Im asking is, has anyone done this, and what type and # shocks they used. This is going on 67' d200. Thanks!

i have done it on numerous trucks, but none of my swepts have gotten them yet. i always used monroe, they are a great shock. they do increase capacity, but not by much more then 500 pounds. what they do accomplish is better load control. you wont sway as much, or bounce as much, or run the risk of bottoming out near as easy with them on there. makes hauling a load safer. :Thumbsup only draw back is empty they will raise the back end of the truck up about 2 inches.
