Tire/rims question

Hello everyone. I am fixing up my fathers 69 W200 and trying to keep it as original as I can. I m looking for some tires and rims, specifically 7.5 16 size, which I am thinking is the original rims and tires it came with?

Stock looking 16 inch tubeless steel rims can be had from many sources. Stock hubcaps will fit.
The originals will be split ring or 16.5 rims. Neither of which are ideal.

I'll be taking the stock wheels off of my 69 d200 soon, not sure if they are the same as your w200, but they are 8 lug 16 inch. Have 3 of the original hubcaps too. Can't imagine shipping from California will be cheap though.

think all 8 lug use the same bolt pattern its the center hole that changes (think ford is the same ,chevy smaller ,could be wrong)

Chevy is a bit smaller but it takes very little to remove and make them fit. Done 2 sets of GM rims for my Dodge W series trucks.

Years ago we used a torch to enlarge the center hole. Probably not the best idea but it works.
Another thing to watch out for is the newer ford wheels. They will not work as the lug pattern is metric. I’m not sure when this started but I do know the 08 super duty was metric. Also ford had a 7 lug wheel in the late 90s.

Ford went to metric around 98/99.
My first set of rims the holes were cutout on a lathe. Second set I used a die grinder with a carbide cutter finishing bore with a flap wheel to smoothe.
