Master Cylinder

Post by JohnB »

1970 W200 W/booster power drum brakes.

I want to replace my master cylinder rather than rebuilding it again. It is the original master and has seen better days. I have a parts book but I am having trouble picking the correct part number. One is part #2952130. I initially thought this was the correct one. Went on RockAuto site and they indicate that the Raybestos replacement for power brakes is {MC36359} Dodge #2830269. My parts book shows this for a W300 or a D200 with 12x3 Brakes. Also parts book shows part #2830251 for W200 with 12 1/8 x 2 brakes. Can anyone here give me a definitive answer on the correct Dodge part # for my truck?

I don't have the Dodge number, but I have the number for the master from advance auto parts. CWH MCA 71258. I bought this in 2018. I had to go thru three different parts, returned the first two, finally this one was the right one. and they had it in stock. this one bolted right up, and is still working fine. it was $24.99, that's probably gone up now. hope this helps you.

Thanks Ozzie. I think I'm going to try to find a NOS one if I can narrow it down to the correct MOPAR part number.
