Help pulling the steering box

Post by chilort »

Okay, I feel really stupid, but I can't figure out how to pull the steering box out. There's just no room to get it out.

I've got the pitman arm free/off, the 3 bolts to the frame are off, the bolt through the collar attaching the rag going to the steering box is off, and the 2 bolts through the rag joint itself are free.

Do have to pull the steering column?

Not totally, but it does need to be lifted up a couple inches.
