Best Place for Brake Parts (71 W100)

Post by Danpd69 »

Hello all,

Tackling a pull to the left on my recently acquired 71 W100. The front brake hoses look to be original, so I'm thinking part of the problem may potentially be swollen hoses. I ordered the hoses from RockAuto and, to my surprise, they don't work (shocking I know!)

I'm wondering if any of you have a recommendation as to the best place to secure quality brake parts for these trucks.

Thanks!

Dan

I would contact a suspension lift company such as Skyjacker & see what they have. One of the components of lift systems 4" & greater is longer flexible brake hoses. I know you don't need the extra length but it should have the correct ends. I also would suspect that 4x4/offroad specialists would be more helpful than an auto parts chain. Same for a brake/bearing/hose vendor.

Do a local search for hose manufacturing. You can often have hoses custom made for a reasonable price with the right ends.
