Power steering control valve seals

Post by cj7and8 »

Looking for help finding a rebuild kit or seals to rebuild the power steering control valve on my 1970 D100. It has had a small leak for years but finally completely let go.
I found a old thread listing oem part numbers for seals but no one seems to list those any more.

At one time, I believe Bud Thorp was offering a rebuild service. As such, I would gather he has sources and possibly seals on-hand. I'd reach out to him at: https://www.dodgesweptlineparts.com/preview/

If not, I know some of the larger rebuilders were still offering rebuild services, but I doubt if they would bother with seal kits.

Let us know how you come out. My truck has the same power steering and while I'm not having any issues now, it is 50 years old.

I contacted 61-71dodge sweptline parts and no rebuild kit or seals are sold by them. $400 to rebuild mine if it is "rebuildable". I might tear mine a part and try and match up some seals. Not sure if the Fords have the same internals or not, they seem readably available.
