1969 Sway Bar Bushings?

Post by Jims68 »

So a friend of mine in CA has a '69 D-100 and his sway bar bushing fell apart. Does anyone have any idea of where to get replacements?? It looks like it's a 7/8" bar. Here is a photo of his bushing (this is the good one). I know there are MOOG ones, but anyone have a PART Number??

It looks like there might be part numbers on the end of the bushing in the bottom picture?

I googled that part number, but didn't come up with anything. Ah well... he actually just let me know he bought some aftermarket ones and had to trim some off the bottom and a smidge around the curve part using just a bench grinder. He said it was easy and they now fit and look exactly like the originals.

I realize this is an old thread but I replaced mine for new bushings and housing when I put the '69 bar in my '68. I grabbed something from the shelf at the local parts store that included a poly bushing and housing. I put them in a decade ago but am only putting miles on them now. So far, so good.

I also installed a rear sway bar too. Ole truck will go around a corner now
