61-68 Drag Link Availability
Does anybody know where I could get a drag link for my 64 D100? They had been produced by Centric and Moog, but it looks like they aren't made any more. I found one on Ebay for over $200, but I really don't have the money for it. The Moog part# was DS653, there are plenty of post-1968 ones though. The one on mine right know makes a really loud clunk every time I turn, being my truck is my main daily I'm kinda in a hurry to find one.
Thank you - LB

Re: 61-68 Drag Link Availability
Made one for my W200 out of a pair of tie rod ends and a split tube. It took a LONG time digging through the Moog book to find two compatible parts (they aren't the same as yours). The rest of the solutions are usually spendy.64D100Poly wrote: ↑Mon Aug 01, 2022 9:36 pmDoes anybody know where I could get a drag link for my 64 D100?

I looked on rock auto under 1970 and they had them not too long ago. Is it not the same part? 40 bucks. I bought 3. Probably china/mexico?

Re: 61-68 Drag Link Availability
I found one on amazon that's "temporarily out of stock" that I pre-ordered. About a year ago I needed rear drums and couldn't find a single one ANYWHERE, had to get a pair from Budd Thorp. Now if you go on rock auto there in stock for $40. If amazon falls through on my order I'll let you know.

Been there before, but it's the first time I've noticed the stock Perkins diesel. Boy would that be nice in a W300!martincom wrote: ↑Fri Aug 19, 2022 11:10 amMark DuVerger is fabricating them: https://www.sweptlinesunlimited.com/sto ... 1-draglink

Re: 61-68 Drag Link Availability
I spoke with mark last year in Carlisle about a custom link for my truck. I didn’t see him there this year nor have I seen him post here on the board in months.martincom wrote: ↑Fri Aug 19, 2022 11:10 amMark DuVerger is fabricating them: https://www.sweptlinesunlimited.com/sto ... 1-draglink

I see Mark post on the Facebook Groups that are specific to sweptlines fairly regularly.
