Power brakes

Post by BigBlockTrucks »

I’m looking to add power brakes to my 65 swept.
It originally had the small booster under the floor with a single pot master cylinder. I would like to have a dual reservoir with the booster on the firewall.
The truck has disc brakes in front and drums in the rear. Both axles are from a 1980 one ton dodge.
What kind of ideas does everyone have.
Late 65 w 200.
Factory LU-2 winch.
Updates: 205 transfer case,4.10 gears, disc brake Dana 60 front with lock out hubs
440 repower in the works

60 d100
383 with 727
4 wheel disc
3.73 geared rear

I'm going to assume you have a hydraulic clutch. If so, there likely will be a clearance issue. I believe the RamMan has addressed this and offers a kit with offset brackets. He's a little pricey, but he knows his stuff and offers quality products. He does a lot of YouTube videos. You may have to phone him for specifics: https://therammaninc.com/

I do have a hyd. clutch also it will have a 440. I met Ram man in Carlisle a few years back and planning to check with him this year at the mopar show. I’m still open to all suggestions. Doing my own fab work isn’t an issue.

I used a power brake booster from an early 70's Dodge Dart A Body back in the day. No clearance issues with clutch master cyl. Kits are available that will work with clutch master. I did fabricate the arm from pedal to bell crank pivot.
