I need to replace the brake lines on my 67 D100. One blew out - fortunately while I was inspecting them. It seems to be a hole due to rust so I assume they all should be replaced.
Does anyone have guidance for me before I run out and buy standard replacement products from the local auto supply?
Thanks in advance,
Jeff

Buy a good quality tubing bender, a double flaring kit, tubing cutter and flare nut wrenches.

Go to NAPA (or other sources) and purchase Niccop (nickel-copper) lines. They are so much easier to flare and form compared to mild steel lines. I bought straight sections (versus coil stock) and formed the lines for my truck.

The cause of the problem is that water vapor was absorbed into the fluid. Flush the whole system with denatured alcohol. Replace the fluid with DOT-5 Silicone and it won't ever happen again.67D100Pickup wrote: ↑Thu Feb 17, 2022 6:38 pmDoes anyone have guidance for me before I run out and buy standard replacement products from the local auto supply?
