68' W-300 Info request
68' W-300 Info request
Have a '68 W-300 that's going to need a front brake job soon. I know these trucks have a front brake setup similar to a Power Wagon and M-37. I know the drums are different but are the shoes and backing plates the same?

Depending upon your budget, you can get the drums relined with a superior material. Last I looked it was about $400 a pop.

61-68 W300's I believe use the 6 lug Budd style wheel & the drums are hard to come by should yours be worn beyond use.
I can't say about what components are shared with either M-37, FFPW or even 69-71 W300's.
Dodge used the Dana 70 front on W300's through 1974 & some 74-77 W600's had them as well. Again I'm not certain what they have in common beyond the R&P.
