Hello All.
I have a quick question before it gets away. Will the power steering gear box off a 1966 W200 fit a 1962 D100. I would usually take the time to research the compatibility for myself. But short on time. So I will turn to the experts and ask. Yay or Nay?
Thanx.
SL.

Ain't no such thing as a "power steering gear box" on ANY sweptline.

Re: Power steering box compatibility?
Sweptlines had a power assist option. It utilized the stand gear and has a control valve between the pitman arm and the steering linkage. The control valve feeds a hydraulic cylinder that is clamped to the tie rod.
There are some aftermarket kits that utilize a power steering gear. My first reaction would be it should transfer from the W200 to D100, but it is hard to say definitely without more specifics.
