I am working on finding replacement brake drums for my 64 w200.
The parts source is showing numbers for a 69 w200 but not 64. The size is the same, same brake shoe numbers, wheel cylinder numbers but not the same drum number.
Does anyone know how these drums were different and can I substitute the 69 number and make them work on the hubs?
Thanks in advance for your input
Shawn

Order one up, take yours in, lay them on the counter and compare.
Re: 69 vs 64 brake drums
I got a drawing with dimensions that I'm going to try and match up. According to a guru I am working with in someplace in California these should interchange.
When I find out for sure I will post the information and source.

Re: 69 vs 64 brake drums
It has taken a while to get the information on this site I was able to find.
I worked with a great parts lady in Las Vegas named Kendalees. Her work phone for those interested is 702-459-0566.
Those first two pictures have dimensions which I compared to the drums I have on hand. They matched exactly except for the hole size for the studs was about 0.020" larger than the original ones.
The wheel studs on the front drums (on the original) are staked. I assume it is not a problem to install with unstaked wheel studs and let the front drums be removed easily like most drum brakes are when you pull the wheel and the drum can come right off.
If someone has any input on that let me know.
The Drum Garden Tag was on the box and I believe the place that had the drums. I would contact them or Kendalees if I were chasing drums for one of our trucks.
All the Best
