have a 69 d100 with optiona; power assist steering but is very loose, qhestio. rebuild stock or ccp unit and use my original pump

The first question is where is the looseness coming from? It could be one thing or a number of things combined. My D100 has the OEM power assist and it is very good.

I also saw a post on Facebook Market Place for a complete factory power assist for $175, in Mint, FL.
