Master Cylinder

Post by homeboymi »

I have a stock 68 D100. The brakes pull to the right. I've checked adjustment. Does the front master cylinder cavity feed the front wheels and the rear cavity feed the rear brakes? Or is it criss cross? Thank you.

Something other than master cylinder is causing pulling brakes. Bad soft lines. Improperly adjusted. Wheel cylinder bad. Soaked shoes. etc etc.
My truck is younger than me.

My vote is for the soaked shoes pursuant either to a bad wheel cylinder or spindle seal. If the truck sat for a long time, the wheel cylinders are probably corroded. If so, the fix is to replace the cylinders, purge the system with methanol, put silicone DOT5 fluid in it and never have that problem again.

From the factory, front cavity feeds the rear axle.

Thank you for your replies. It was a leaking wheel cylinder.
