CPP kit problem with column shift

Hello from germany!

Received my CPP power steering conversion kit.
Today i began to install it.
Put out the steering column with shift linkage.
The new box is bolted in.
But with the new universal joint iam about 2 inches inside the cab!!
Cut the steering shaft,cut the outer tube but what should i do with the shift tube?

Has someone bolted in the CPP kit in a column shifted truck? Its 1970 D200
Did someone have some pics?
