“She who thinks she must be obeyed” thinks she wants the truck swapped back to power assist. I think the current set up, good kingpins and steering box full of white marine grease, works fine.
I’m thinking a quick disconnect stand alone pump, hoses, cylinder for a tractor “might” work. As long as when, not if, it fails I can yank the cylinder and still drive it home. Tractor cylinders are inexpensive, durable if USA made (not Northern Tool junk), operate smoothly...
Worth the hassle?
I say no, but, awful lot of tractor cylinders doing just that in my area...
