'69 D200 - Wheel fitment and IFS questions

Post by dubseven »

Hey all - two questions:

Looking to run a 16x10 or 16x11 wheel in the back - what is the ideal BS or offset to center the wheel? Running a 33x10.5W tire. Standard D60 rear end.

IFS Kits - looking at the Gerst or the Uncle Jimmys - can anyone point out any major differences between the two to justify the approx $1500 cost differential?

You'll be hard pressed to put a wheel of that size under the fender without scrubbing. I've got 15X9" on the rear with a 3.5 backspace. 275/60 15 tire. 11.00" of tread on the ground. The tire bulge clears the inner fender by.5 inch. You can definitely go bigger so long as you move the inner fender.

So what's wrong with setting beneath a single pull string incandescent light bulb writing angry letters?
