Need help with D200 tire size

Post by 69PowerWagon »

I need to get new tires on my D200 and the book says its supposed to have 8.75-16.5-E tires. I have been trying to find a modern size in a 16in tire to replace the 16.5's but can't find one. Have any of you found a good replacement tire for this size?

Start by getting rid of the 16.5 rims and go with 16 inch ones.

I do have a set of 16in rims on it already but the tires on the truck are the wrong size and falling apart. I'm looking to get tires as close to the original size as possible minus the 16.5 part.

What I see is that the 8.75 X 16.5 is 29.46" tall and 8.8" wide. So something like 225 75R16 (29.30" X 8.9").

265/70/16's on all four corners has been good to me. :2cents

I had 235 /85/16 on my w 200 but didn’t like the look. Now it has 33/12.50.16.5. It fills the wheel well much better. I like it.

Try going through the photo section here and then message the person who has the look you prefer and ask what size the tires are.

Keep in mind there are a lot of lowered trucks. The ride height changes the look too, even with the same tire.
