For those who have gone to dics brakes what is your take on the disc brake splash shields? Use them? Not needed?

For street use I see no need for them. Off road possibly.

I wouldn't think you would need them either, on my CJ7, they basically rotted away with no noticeable difference in braking performance. If you drove daily AND were heavy on the brakes, you *might* need a tie rod end heat shield to protect the rubber boot. Although, If you're driving a straight axle pickup that hard, I commend you...
