Master Cylinder Cap

Post by 61stepside »

Is there suppose to be a washer under the bolt that holds down the master cylinder cap on my 61? When the brakes are applied, air bubbles come from around where the hold down bolt goes through the cap.

I think there is a washer on my clutch master which may be similar to your brake. Single pot?

Thanks Jim. When I went to check the fluids, the clutch cylinder didn't have a gasket but the brake cylinder had two. I believe the trucks previous owner must have screwed this up along with losing the washers.
