Leaking steering assist cylinder

Post by cj7and8 »

Looks like the steering assist cylinder on my 70 D100 is in need of a reseal. Does anyone have a part number for the seal or know were I might be able to find one?

Not a easy thing to find the problem is the cylinder is welded i removed the snap ring then i clamped the cylinder in a vise made a rod with a flat stock with a hole to block the ram rod all the way out then i made a adaptor fitting with a grease zerk and pump grease in the rod end till it pushed out the seal. Was able to take it to a hydrauliv shop and found one.
