1969 W-200 4x4 Steering "Front Springs"

Front Springs help needed.
Not sure if my springs are OEM so I am asking for help.

1. What is the OEM part number for the front springs ?
2. How many leafs and pads are in the OEM spring.
3. If I lift what is the design I should use so I can use the OEM pittman ?
4. If I lift how far can I go without changing the pittman arm ?

This is what mine look like, Looks to me like they are worn out as the rear is loaded or flexing

Part book show about four different # 1300lb 5 leaf #2953256 or a 1550lb 5 leaf # 2953257 and couple others depending on serial #.

I would stop by or call a spring shop and see what they can do with yours since they are iron to work with. :2cents

Working it out with: Eaton Spring in Detroit
https://www.eatondetroitspring.com/

The Factory blue print @ Eaton shows the shackle in the rear, but mine is in the front of the spring. See images.
How are you'rs mounted.

Thanks for the comments.

Later models (72-up) had the shackle in the rear. That may be what they are showing.

all the 61 to 71 have front shackle. the 57 to 60 had rear shackle like the 72 and up. I don't know why they went to front shackle after 1960. rear shackle rides much better. maybe it was to save money on steering parts. with rear shackle the box has to be mounted in front of the axle

I had the same problem. Don't upload them to this site. Use photobucket or something like that, then copy the URL and paste it in your post. Full size pictures!

The 72 and up 4wd springs fit on these trucks. Just an option.
