Scare bird thoughts and questions

Post by greenmachine318 »

A few years ago I bought everything required to to the conversion before they offered the machined hub assembly. For those of you that have done the conversion how did you do it without their custom hub. My thought on this was obviously saving money. I looked over the extra parts I have laying around and thought I'd give it a shot and pull the hub off an old set up rusted drums I have. So my question is, has anyone thought of doing what I'm going to try and if so does it work?

Ye, it works doing the swap with OEM hubs or theirs.

On the kit I got from you my hubs actually fit in the rotor without clearance issues. I have an extra caliper if you need it..

I have done this swap twice,I just turned the outer edge on a brake lathe until it fit inside the rotor.
